The city Mayor proudly handed the award onto Mrs. Angelita M. Bongcac, Principal of Dipolog Pilot Demonstration School,when the said school was chosen as the Best Performing School in Elementary Level (Central Category) in the entire region in the school year 2005 - 2006.

It was reported that the award given to DPDS, under the administration of Mrs.Bongcac, because of the efficient implementation of the programs and projects of the Department of Education including major improvements in the different academic areas such as in the field of Mathematics, Science, HEKASI, Sports and Journalism.

In addition it was also reported that the school,since the past years has garnered many regional and national recognitions and has maintained up until today.Hence, the school was made a representive in the national contest of DEpEd “Harvest of Excellence for Exemplary Performance Award.” (CIO)
