Coco Charcoal and Coco lumber are seen to be the province number one export to the Visayas and Luzon. This was the observation made by porters and other employees stationed at the Puluan Wharf in Dapitan City.

Although there were fish cars bounf for Visayas, they have observed that they came from Zamboanga City and Zamboanga Sibugay but not from the province.

There were no bulks of agricultural products, they said, only a few sacks of vegetables and fruits.

A few farmers who attended the Lakbay Aral in Bukidnon saw that the highway was plied with trucks loaded with containers vans filled with squash and cabages.

Our highway here,they noted, are run by trucks filled with beers and softdrinks only.

So, they added, it is premature to claim that our agriculture in the province is souring high.(Press Freedom Vol.XVIII No. 41)
